CHUMUR BENEFIT CONCERT WITH PETER ROWAN
On April 17th, 2009, Padma Shedrup Ling hosted a benefit concert to help fund the restoration and expansion of Chumur Monastery, traditional seat of the Venerable Chhoje Rinpoche, in Ladakh.
Famed singer and songwriter PETER ROWAN performed his eclectic mix of bluegrass, folk, and country rock, and narrated a slideshow about Chumur Monastery and the restoration project. A silent auction rounded out the evening.

In 2008, Peter performed two other benefit concerts for Chumur Monaster in Colorado and California. All events have been well-attended, the music was absolutely great, and the restoration projects at Chumur received generous donations.
Our deepest thanks to Peter Rowan, and to everyone who attended, organized, and donated to these events. We'll let you know what we have planned for the rest of 2009 and beyond. Although we have been able to fund the project to keep the restoration moving, more funds will be needed to complete the plans.
